Hours: 37.5 hours per week
Salary: £23,400 to £25,000 (dependent on experience)
Job Purpose:
Produce 2D AutoCAD/.dwg gas and electricity design drawings in addition to converting as-laid drawings for submission along with drawing templates as required across the business. Key responsibilities and accountabilities
- Create AutoCAD 2D template drawings across all business functions.
- Convert proposal drawings into gas and electricity CAD designs for approval.
- Produce as-laid CAD drawings from site information records.
- Process variations to approved designs.
- Prepare draft proposal drawings where required.
- Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to ensure accuracy of drawing content.
- Undertake all activities within agreed standards of service and in compliance with company and third party technical guidelines.
- Act as a focal point for queries and enquiries regarding all aspects of CAD drawings.
- Assist members of the Design and Technical department with other tasks where required.
- Adhere to stated policies and procedures relating to health and safety, and quality management.
- Adhere to procedures relating to the proper use and care of equipment and materials for which the role has responsibility.
- Attend training and develop relevant knowledge and skills.

Computer skills:
Excellent working knowledge of AutoCAD 2D or equivalent. Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office and able to adapt to new programs and systems.
Literacy and numeracy:
Able to produce clear, concise and accurate written communications through all aspects of the enquiry and proposal life cycle.
Experience and qualifications:
- Demonstrable experience using AutoCAD 2D with qualification preferred.
- Previous experience within utility infrastructure industry would be advantageous.
- GCSE (or equivalent) in Mathematics and English is essential.
