Title: Project Coordinator

Reports to: Delivery Manager

Based at: 5 Castlebridge, 5-19 Cowbridge Road East, Cardiff, CF11 9AB

Hours: 37.5 hours per week

Salary: To be determined on experience

Summary of role:

To support and assist with the day-to-day running of the operational activities within the business. The Project Coordinator will work closely with the Construction Team to provide end-to-end client engagement from receipt of acceptance to completion of works .

Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities

  • Process work requests taking responsibility for work planning.
  • Provide focal point of contact for customers and construction staff.
  • Process material and equipment orders.
  • Manage key information flows through cycle of GT/IGT & DNO/IDNO processes.
  • Issue weekly whereabouts to Network Owners.
  • Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to ensure efficient delivery of the project.
  • Liaise with client and third parties to facilitate legals.
  • Process connection requests taking responsibility for planning with Network Owners.
  • Liaise with 3rd party contractors/suppliers and act as a port of call for any issues.
  • Create Work Requests for the Construction Teams.
  • Adhere to stated policies and procedures relating to health and safety, and quality management.
  • Attend training and develop relevant knowledge and skills.
  • Submit requests for streetworks notices and permits ensuring compliance to NRSWA & TMA.
  • Process payments.
  • Handle queries from managers and employees effectively and provide solutions.
  • To carry out any other duties appropriate for a job of this nature.

Person Specification:

  • Self-motivated and eager to learn.
  • Proactive and able to work on own initiative, or with minimal support.
  • Possesses strong interpersonal skills to be able to communicate effectively with all levels.
  • Ability to prioritize their workload effectively with strong time management and organisational skills.
  • Emphasis on accuracy with excellent attention to detail.
  • Adaptable and responsive to change.
  • A strong working knowledge of IT systems and Microsoft packages.
  • An excellent standard of numeracy and literacy with the ability to construct professional written correspondence to all stakeholders.
